Mononeucleosis
Shimon’s family hardly recognized their once active son – who lately, could barely get out of bed, and was increasingly lethargic & weak. The diagnosis was swift - but the prognosis was lengthy, as mononucleosis is known for its prolonged recovery period.
Yet after mere 6-weeks in Davos during the winter, Shimon rebuilt his strength, and felt significantly better. The short stay in the Etania House with VKE enabled him to return to school in good health for the next 8 months! The following winter, he returned again to Davos, where the cold, healing air once more, assisted him with his condition, reviving him on his road to recovery.
